Award Amount: $1,500
Criteria:
The applicant must:
- Have a 2.5 GPA or higher
- Major in Social Science or Humanities
- Be a member of The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church
- Actively participate in ministries at The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church
- Demonstrate an interest in Public Policy or Humanities through community or school activity (documentation required)
Essay Requirement:
The application must be submitted with a minimum 500-word essay (typed and double-spaced) answering the following question: “What Do You Consider to be An Important Public Policy or Humanities Issue? Why?”
Background:
The Mary and William Boone Social Science/Humanities Scholarship was created in 2020 to inspire students to major in Social Sciences or Humanities. The goal of this scholarship is to encourage students and assist with educational expenses as they pursue their interest in Public Policy or Humanities.
