Frank Jones Memorial General Scholarships

The Frank Jones Memorial (FJM) General Scholarships were established in memory of and/or in honor of The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church members to acknowledge and award demonstrated academic educational achievement. The Frank Jones Memorial Scholarship Commission awards these scholarship funds to provide financial assistance to active members and surrounding community students seeking to further their educational endeavors. 

Applicant Must:

  • Be transitioning from high school to an accredited two (2) or four (4) year institution of higher learning, technical college, or vocational school in the upcoming Fall semester or quarter.
  • Qualify and complete the General Scholarship Application(s) of interest. 
  • Submit a typed double-spaced brief “Tell Us About Yourself” biography. 
  • Submit General Scholarship Application and ALL required documentation (i.e. SAT/ACT scores, essay, biography, signed participation verification on letterhead, etc.).

The Deadline Date for All Applications
is Sunday, March 31, 2024, at 12:00 Noon

How to Submit Completed Scholarship:


Submit the completed application electronically and upload ALL required documents except your
official transcript before the deadline. (Bring an official sealed transcript to your interview.)

Drop Off:

Place the completed application and ALL required documents in a sealed envelope with the applicant’s name
on the front of the envelope. Deliver a sealed envelope to The Church Front Office before the deadline date.
