Award Amount: $1,500
Criteria:
The applicant must:
- Be a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled as a technical college student
- Have a 2.5 GPA or higher
- Be enrolled full-time in a certificate or license program
Essay Requirement:
The application must be submitted with a minimum 500-word essay (typed and double-spaced) answering the following question: “What is Your Passion and/or Drive for Your Chosen Field of Study?”
Background:
The Dixon and Blake Book Scholarship was established in 2018 to recognize the value and need for services provided by students attending Technical College (cosmetology, culinary, HVAC, etc.). The goal of this book scholarship is to assist young people attending technical school with the cost of pursuing their trade.
