Criteria:
The applicant must:
- Be a graduating high school senior
- Have a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Enroll as a full-time student at a two or four-year college/university
Essay Requirement:
The application must be submitted with a minimum 500- word (typed and double-spaced) answering the following question: “What is the Christian’s Responsibility in Matters of Social Justice?”
Background:
The Christians for Social Justice Scholarship was established in 2021 by Jerry Dillard to award a socially-conscious student who is aware of current world events. The ideal candidate is a student that is hard-working, compassionate, motivated, and dedicated to being a change agent for the good of the community. The scholarship will assist with some of the financial expenses associated with college.
