- Enroll as a full-time student at an accredited College/University
- Active member of The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church for at least 1 year before the application deadline date (No Exceptions) (Membership number must be provided).

Background:
The Judy M. Derico Memorial Scholarship was established in loving memory of Judy M.
Derico, who dedicated more than 34 years of service to the healthcare industry. Her compassion, commitment, and unwavering dedication left a profound and lasting impact on the patients, families, and colleagues she served. Throughout her career, Judy exemplified the true spirit of healthcare—providing not only skilled medical care, but also comfort, dignity, and kindness during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. She was widely known for her selflessness, strong work ethic, and deep belief in the importance of helping others.
Judy was also a passionate advocate for education and lifelong learning. She consistently
encouraged those around her to pursue their goals with perseverance, integrity, and heart.
This scholarship honors Judy M. Derico’s legacy by supporting students who aspire to careers in the healthcare field and who demonstrate compassion, integrity, and a genuine desire to serve their communities. Through this award, Judy’s passion for caring for others’ lives on in the next generation of healthcare professionals.
